Picnics with a view: the best places for snacking in nature
A couple of years ago, I remembered how a couple of friends and I had a spontaneous picnic on a hillside where we had not planned to stop at all. We were just tired, sat down to have a snack... and in front of us - a gorgeous panorama of the valley, the sun was setting, everything was in golden light. Not a single person around, only wind and foil food
Since then I've been trying more and more to find places with a view, not just “in nature”. Who has a favorite such spots for a snack?

Re: Picnics with a view: the best places for snacking in nat
Oh, this is very familiar. I once had a day where I decided to grab some sandwiches and just go wherever the hell I wanted to go. Went out on the trail, climbed a little higher than the usual route, and suddenly found myself on the edge of a cliff overlooking the lake. No one, quiet, just seagulls flying around. Now I'm Idaho living , and the conditions here are just perfect for such picnics - from secluded spots near rivers to open spots in the mountains. If you're interested, we have a whole list of places that are perfect for eating with a view. The main thing is not to forget napkins and a warm blanket, as the weather can change dramatically. Do you usually plan these places in advance or do you find them on the fly?

Interesting topic, never seriously thought about the location for eating in nature, always just ate where I sat. But now I'm thinking about it - indeed, the atmosphere of the place has a strong influence. Perhaps next time I will choose a place more carefully, especially if there is an opportunity to sit with a view.
